The Teeth Whitening Experience

Before moving forward with teeth whitening, we will consult with you to review your oral health, answer any questions, and discuss our teeth whitening options.

In-office teeth whitening uses a high-concentration bleaching gel, typically hydrogen or carbamide peroxide, to break down stains on teeth’s enamel and dentin. First, a barrier or protective gel protects your gums and lips, and then the teeth-whitening gel is applied. Multiple application rounds may be done, and the gel will be removed. You’ll see immediate whitening results.

For our custom take-home whitening trays, our team provides custom-fitted trays and a whitening gel for you to use at home at your convenience. The trays are worn for an instructed amount each day, typically for one to two weeks, to allow gradual whitening and optimal results.

Next Steps After Teeth Whitening

It’s important to care for your teeth and avoid certain things after whitening to keep your brighter color lasting for a long period. We’ll provide aftercare instructions following your whitening treatment:

• Use drinking straws to avoid directly staining your teeth.
• Avoid foods and drinks that can stain your teeth, such as coffee, wine, berries, or red pasta sauce.
• Avoid tobacco products.
